In many countries, rising labor costs have made the transition to full automation a necessity for the die-casting industry. This shift is not only about cost-efficiency but also significantly enhances operator safety. In the past, when production relied heavily on manual labor, workers had to manually extract castings and move them to the next station. They also had to spray release agents onto the molds and operate the trimming press. Additionally, workers were responsible for returning scrap material back to the crucible. Today, these repetitive tasks can be seamlessly handled by automated equipment integrated with an automatic die casting machine.

A simple combination of an automatic extractor and a conveyor prevents surface defects caused by castings falling. The conveyor is equipped with cooling fans to reduce the temperature of the castings. Furthermore, an automatic sprayer can apply a precise dose of release agent into deep cavities or vertical angles that are difficult to reach manually, effectively preventing the casting from sticking to the mold—a process far more accurate and efficient than manual application, and fully compatible with an automatic die casting machine.

For further labor savings, a six-axis robotic arm can be integrated with the conveyor system. It not only extracts the castings and sprays the release agent but can also place parts into the trimming press. Through sophisticated motion programming, the robotic arm can even return scrap material to the crucible via the conveyor. At this stage, the operator functions more like an engineer, monitoring mechanical operations and capable of managing multiple automatic die casting machines​ simultaneously.

After the automatic extractor removes the casting, it is placed onto the first conveyor. Following manual sorting and trimming at the rear station, the scrap material is sent to the second conveyor to be returned to the crucible.
