Ultima™ PureAir Compressors Reach New Highs in Energy Efficiency
Ultima is an innovative oil-free PureAir compressor. The new series of compressors offered by CompAir have a unique design, using low-pressure and high-pressure dry screw air compressors, each driven by a variable-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor, and its energy efficiency level is much higher than that of traditional oil-free technology. Given that energy costs are the highest cost in a compressor's life cycle, Ultima's unique design achieves maximum performance and efficiency at the same time, and is 37% smaller than conventional two-stage oil-free compressors.

Unique drive design

Conventional oil-free compressors are driven by a single motor, and both low and high pressure mainframes are driven by a gearbox. Instead of a gearbox and single motor, Ultima uses a super-efficient motor that can drive the mainframe at different speeds depending on demand, optimizing performance across the entire capacity range. This would not be possible with a single motor driving a two-stage mainframe. This is where Ultima's unique advantage lies.

Ultima's intelligent "digital gearbox" design continuously monitors and adjusts the speed of each host individually to ensure maximum efficiency and optimal pressure ratio at all times.

The speed-controlled compressor will go to idle when it reaches its lowest speed, which is a waste of energy for any compressor. Compared to conventional two-stage compressors, the Ultima consumes 45% less energy at idle, with a 160kW compressor consuming only 8 kW at idle.
