How to improve the plastics mixing problem of blown film extrusion
High-speed film blowing and blowing bag extrusion often encounter the problem of uneven mixing of plastics.
Especially when LDPE 50% + HDPE 50% or LDPE+LLDPE are mixed and extruded with various plastics and plastics with similar percentages, there are often problems of different plastic flow marks and uneven transparency of the film, which are more likely to occur when the production speed is faster.
There are two traditional approaches
- Increase the compression ratio of the screw
- Increase the molding
These two methods can slightly enhance the mixing effect, but cannot have a great ability to change the mixing effect, and may also extend the problem of temperature rise or other production results.
Another way to strengthen plastic mixing is to install a static mixer. This method is better than changing the screw compression ratio and increasing the molding pressure. However, the production cost of a static mixer is quite high. Often resulting in cost and space burden.
In response to the above problems, since 2005, we began to study how to have high production capacity and high-quality design. Now we develop a screw and barrel with high extrusion output and high mixing capacity.
