Filament Type Black Main Line is another classic black main line of ours. Like all our tuna ropes, this main line is constructed in the same 3-strand twist structure with 100% premium grade polyester yarn. The “Filament Type”, in contrast to the “Wrap type” structure with air-textured yarn from other Main Lines products, means the polyester yarn is without any secondary process during rope production. In doing so, the full strength of the polyester yarn can be retained for maximizing total rope strength.
This Filament Type Main Line is also treated with black resin with tar inside its composition that is specifically developed for fishing ropes. Resin treatment greatly enhances rope stability and durability by further binding the polyester yarn together and forming a gritty outer layer over the rope surface - is is stable under high heat without getting sticky, making it easy to handle for crews on board when setting and hauling the line. The Filament Type Main Line is available in larger diameter of 7.0mm, 8.0mm and 8.5mm.
