  1. Scope of application
    This specification applies to the design, supply, installation and testing of oil-immersed transformers and accessories.
  2. According to standards and regulations
    The design, manufacture and test of the transformer must comply with the relevant sections of the latest edition of the standards and regulations listed below.
    National Standards of the Republic of China (CNS 598, CNS 599)
    American National Standard (ANSI / IEEE C57.12)
    International Standard Specification (IEC 60076)
  3. Applicable environment
    The normal use of the transformer is as follows:
    a. The maximum ambient temperature is below 40 ℃
    b. The average daily temperature is below 35 ℃
    c. Below 1000 meters above sea level

  7. Core material and structure
    a.Silicon steel sheet manufactured by cold rolling directivity, low loss and high magnetic permeability. The laminated core has sufficient insulation layer to resist the erosion effect of hot oil.
    b.The design of the core clamp must strive to be solid and not subject the core to any stress in order to ensure excellent core characteristics. The strength of the clamp must be able to withstand the vibrations during transportation, installation and normal operation, and it can suppress and reduce the occurrence of noise.
  8. Winding
    a.The winding has a surge-proof design to provide the best protection for shock waves. The coils, winding insulation and lead-out wires are firmly fastened, and can withstand the stress of any group of external wiring connectors when the rated voltage is repeatedly short-circuited. The winding structure is properly arranged to make the temperature difference of the insulating oil between the windings to avoid local overheating. In order to avoid the loosening of the transformer windings due to shrinkage due to heat during the operation, the windings are contracted by hot air and vacuum drying during the manufacturing process and fully tightened. After the assembly of the core and the coil is completed, vacuum drying and vacuum oiling are performed to ensure the quality of the transformer.
    b.High-voltage conductors use high-conductivity, high-temperature-resistant enamelled copper or aluminum round wires or corner wires, or copper or aluminum corner wires covered with high-temperature-resistant insulation materials to obtain the best interturn insulation and the lowest conductor loss.
    c.The design of the high-voltage coil is a multi-layer winding method, so that the external surge voltage is uniformly and linearly distributed to obtain the best impulse voltage resistance.
    d.The voltage lead-out position of the tap of the high-voltage coil should be designed in the middle section of the coil to avoid the high potential area at the coil end and properly handle to ensure the insulation strength of the lead-out wire.
    e.Low-voltage conductor adopts high-conductivity copper or aluminum sheet conductor, so that no unbalanced ampere turns are generated between the coils, the short-circuit axial mechanical force is minimized, the thermal conductivity is optimal, and the coils will not cause hot spots.
    f.The insulation layer of resin-coated electrical insulation paper for temperature rise of 65 ℃ is used between the winding layers to obtain the best voltage-resistant insulation ability, the best short-circuit resistance mechanical strength and short-term overload capacity.
    g.The setting of the coil current density must be able to fully meet the requirements of the short-circuit test to avoid overheating the coil temperature when an external short circuit occurs.
  9. Scope of application
    a.The transformer housing can withstand a pressure 25% higher than the maximum pressure when the oil degradation prevention device is running without permanent deformation. The upper cover is bolted or welded with appropriate manholes or hand holes. All joints and joints are tight and leak-free. A guide post is provided in the casing, which is convenient for the maintenance of the casing and prevents the core and windings from being displaced due to transportation or vibration. There is enough space between the core, windings and the bottom of the shell to allow the accumulation of residues.
    b.The transformer base has considerable mechanical strength so that the transformer can slide
    c.All padding surfaces have pad support to prevent the pad from sliding.
    d.The transformer is equipped with a radiator that is sufficient for self-cooling rating. The material selection, design and manufacturing and corrosion prevention of the heat sink are especially prudent in order to withstand the severe corrosion that may be encountered.
    e.According to the size of the transformer and the actual needs of the transformer, the manufacturer provides appropriate accessories, such as thermometers, oil level meters, etc. The types and specifications of the accessories must comply with the requirements of CNS 598. If customers have other requirements for accessories, It is agreed between the buyer and the seller.
  10. Cooling device
    a.The cooling device with self-cooling and forced-air cooling double-rated transformers is equipped with control equipment, cooling fans, motors, radiators and piping, etc. as required. The cooling fan is a horizontal axis fan, and its start and stop are automatically controlled by the temperature of the insulating oil via the temperature relay. Automatic and manual operation devices are located in the junction box on the transformer tank.
    b.The control and signal circuits of all cooling devices are connected to the terminal board in the transformer terminal box.
    c.The standard cooling fan motor provided by our company is single-phase 60Hz-220V, and its control power is single-phase 60Hz-220V. The power supply is provided by the customer, but it has been specified and listed in the owner's specification. When they are different, they shall be determined according to the required number of phases, voltage or after consultation between the two parties.
  11. No-voltage tap changer
    The transformer is equipped with a voltage-free tap switching device for manual operation outside the casing. The three-phase winding taps are operated simultaneously from the outside by a single handle. The operating device is provided with a position indicator so that the tap voltage position can be clearly and clearly marked.
  12. Casing characteristics
    Insulation distance: The minimum insulation distance in the air between the charging part of the bushing to the grounded metal part and the charging part of the bushing is specified as follows.

  14. Coating treatment
    The transformer shell must be rust-proof and applied with phosphate film or sandblasting rust-proof treatment. The inner layer is coated with durable oil-based rust-resistant insulating white paint, and the outer layer is weather-resistant rust-proof paint. The outermost color is Taiwan Paint Association Color Card # 41 or designated by the customer.
  15. Transformer oil
    The transformer must be filled with a normal amount of insulating oil. The quality of the insulating oil should meet the requirements of CNS 1326 and CNS 3070.
  16. Transformer test
    a.Voltage ratio test
    Add the rated voltage of the rated frequency to any coil, use a voltmeter to measure the voltage ratio of each connector, or use T.T.R (transformer turns ratio tester) to measure the voltage ratio of each connector. The error is within ± 0.5%.
    b.Polarity test
    Standard transformer comparison methods or other applicable methods of testing transformer polarity meet the requirements of Section 6.
    c.Induced voltage test
    For single-phase double-sleeve and three-phase transformer induced voltage tests, apply a test voltage twice the rated voltage to any coil. The test pressure time is: Test pressing time (second) = 120X rated frequency / test frequency
    d.Open and short test
    The open-circuit test and short-circuit test can be performed at normal temperature. When the measured no-load current, no-load loss, load loss, impedance voltage, voltage adjustment rate, and efficiency are converted to 75 ° C, they should meet the values in the characteristic table of this specification.
    e.Insulation compressive strength test
    Except that the single-phase single-sleeve side does not perform the 60Hz withstand voltage test, each coil of other various transformers is pressurized according to the value specified in the table without any abnormality. (As shown below)

    f.Temperature rise
    Winding: The highest winding temperature rise measured by the resistance method must not exceed 65 ° C. Insulating oil: The highest oil temperature rise measured by the thermometer method must not exceed 60 °C.
    g.Transformer noise
    Transformer design and manufacturing consider reducing the noise and vibration generated by the transformer. For its reference value, please refer to the characteristics table.
    h.Test items in the transformer plant:
    Before leaving the transformer, the following in-plant tests must be performed and a test report submitted.
