Bonded seals are made up of a metal case and a rubber sealing pad. They are generally used as seal components for screw connections and flange joints. Machines tend to vibrate which can easily lead to wear and even the eventual failure of all of the rigid parts, such as the metal in nuts and bolts. Bonded seals prevent such wear by protecting parts from each other such as protecting the nut from the bolt.
