Introduction St. John’s Wort is the dried herb of Chinese St. John’s Wort (Hypericum performatum) of the Garcinia Family. It is a wonted applications medicine with more than 2000 years of history. We draw a conclusion that hypericin in St. John’s Wort is higher than other species and mainly insists in the flowers and leaves, especially in the flowers, then following by the fruits, but low in the stem and little in the radix. Anticancer Activity Hypericin and hyperin are photosensitive. When they are activated by photo, they inhibited microchondria succinoxidase so that caused cancer cells irreversible damaged by photo. 4. Anti-inflammatory Activity Biflavonoids in St. John’s Wort Extract has anti-inflammatory activity by activating white blood cell such as mononuclearmacrophage. 5. Antibiotic Activity Low concentration of hyperforin in St. John’s Wort Extract inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aures, Bacillus diphtheriae and MRSA.
