Density of 1.180 g/cm3, melting point of -25.6 degree celsius, boiling point of 115.2 degree celsius. Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, acetone and other organic solvents. It has good chemical activity, and when hydrolysis, it first produces a-glycerin chlorohydrin, then produces glycerine.
