MiniStar The MiniStar is the perfect answer for quick spin-downs of tube walls and caps, HPLC preparations, micro-filtration tubes, PCR strips and short-term cold room use. Rotors The MiniStar comes with two rotors: one for microtubes and one for 0.2ml PCR strip tubes. Both rotors are designed for applications requiring relatively low g-forces, such as micro-filtration, cell separation and quick spin-downs of tube walls. The 6x1.5/2.0ml rotor is designed to centrifuge up to six individual 1.5/2.0ml plastic microcentrifuge tubes. Using the adaptors supplied with the unit, it can also accommodate 0.5ml and 0.2ml tubes. The strip tube rotor is designed to centrifuge 2x8 well 0.2ml strip tubes. It can also accommodate up to 16 individual 0.2ml tubes. These rotors are interchangeable and are easily exchanged by hand.
